Through my work, I have the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of ensembles, from soloists and symphony orchestras to jazz big bands.

When working with large musical groups, I am always struck by a particular moment: during the microphone setup, as the stage gradually fills with musicians, a palpable positive tension begins to build. This anticipation peaks just moments before the conductor steps onto the podium and the recording session begins. It’s a moment I find incredibly exciting and one I eagerly look forward to every time.

As a music producer, my role is to translate the expressions of musicians and composers into recordings that authentically embody their artistic vision.

To achieve this, I embrace minimalism as the guiding principle of my work.

In sound, simplicity often fosters a deeper emotional resonance with the listener, creating a stronger connection to the music. Minimalism is also synonymous with purposeful decision-making and intentionality. Rather than setting up countless microphones and postponing decisions until mixing, I focus on making thoughtful decisions during the recording process, with meticulous microphone positioning serving as the foundation of my working style.

This approach ensures a cohesive and more distinct sonic identity.

As a recording engineer, I see my work as a blend of art and technology. Drawing a parallel with photography, microphones become my lenses, which define the colors, shades, and character of a recorded musical performance. My role is to capture moments in time, preserving sounds and emotions forever.
